Now that demo is over, it’s time to start buckling down and finalizing my design choices. I’ve had a very specific design in my head for my dream kitchen for YEARS and the fact that it could actually become a reality is somewhat mind-blowing to me.
Demo is officially over…and I for one am super excited about it 🙂 Demo itself was a lot of fun, though quite tedious at times, and walking into your shell of a house has a weird sense of satisfaction and accomplishment knowing that you did it yourself. Here are some before and after pictures to […]
CALLING ALL HOME DESIGN NERDS, I NEED HELP! It’s just about time for building to start which means that we need to decide on and order windows! This is the first major design decision to get to this phase – and it’s a HUGE one at that! I believe that windows are too often overlooked […]

Well, moving weekend was a long, exhausting one…but we did it. We’re officially moved out of our first apartment. The move was bittersweet, it was our first home together, the home we lived in when we got married, and the first place we learned how to blend our styles. We’ve established that Jon has “veto power” […]
After about a year and 100+ house viewings later…we finally found it. A house that will be the perfect first project. You see, with every house that Jon and I looked at there was always SOMETHING that we would want to change. A door knob here, flooring there, an entire kitchen, no big deal – […]
